Enjoying Gyokuro Tea
美味しい玉露の飲み方

玉露のもつ甘味を楽しむため、お湯はややぬるめでいれるのがおいしく頂くコツです。また、味が濃厚なため少量をじっくりあじわうのがお薦めです。
  1. 急須と湯のみを良く温めてください。
  2. 茶葉を急須に入れます (1人前およそ4g :ティースプーン1杯半程度)
  3. 沸騰したお湯を50度程度まで冷まして急須に注ぎます。
  4. 約2分半蒸らしてから、湯のみに注ぎます。
  5. 二煎目は、60度程度のお湯を急須に注ぎ、1分程蒸らしてから、湯のみに注ぎます。
To enjoy the sweetness of Gyokuro tea, you must use cooled down water. We recommended you to enjoy in small amounts, since the taste is thick and deep.
  1. Before starting, warm the tea pot and tea cup well.
  2. Pour tea leaves into the tea pot. The amount of tea leaves is about 4 grams per person.
  3. Boil water. Cool down to 50 degrees (centigrade) and pour into a warm teapot.
  4. Wait and let the tea leaves steam for 2 and a half minutes, and then pour into a warm teacup.
  5. To enjoy your second cup, pour 60 degrees (centigrade) water into teapot, wait for 1 minute, and then pour into your teacup.
